Thankful Thursday: Thankful for friends

Posted by on Mar 7, 2013 in Thankful Thursday, Thought for the day | 2 comments

Today I am thankful for friends; friendship centred in the love of Christ.

Where we seek to provide comfort, love, and a listening ear, with the aim to draw alongside and point our friends to Jesus, we are pointing them to the greatest friend of all.

Thankful for Friends: Give thanks

‘Many will say they are loyal friends, but who can find one who is truly reliable?
Proverbs 20:6
NLT

I am so thankful to my friends who are there for me; who are loyal and reliable and shower me with kindness, who stand with me, and raise my needs in prayer to the ears of the One (Ps 6:9) who is always near.

My friends, we are not those who give up hope and so are lost;
but we are of the company who live by faith and so are saved.

Hebrews 10:39 The Voice

As Titus 3:15 says, let’s greet our friends in faith. May the gift of grace given to us by our Saviour be evident in every step we take; in humility, grace, and love. May the footprints we leave behind, point our friends to the Hope of the World.

I pray a blessing upon you today.

May your days be full of blessings,
May your life be surrounded by love,
May your mind be full of peace,
May you know joy deep within your heart,
May hope spring forth in flower with every step you take.

Who can you be a friend to today?

What are you thankful for?

If this post blessed you, please share it - thanks
Hi, nice to meet you :) As well as Scattering the Stones ministry I also co-run Hope Flourishes ministry, with Salina. My heart's desire is to share God's love and His message of hope, particularly with those who are hurting. I love nature; as I see God’s hand in creation as a mark of His love for us. I design cards with the hope to brighten someone's day. I am also a children’s author, running an anti-bullying campaign to encourage children to tell someone if they are being bullied. For more information please see my about page and manifesto.

  1. Lovely post my friend. The world would be a very dull and gray place without our friends. I’m very blessed in this area and thank God for each one in my life.
